- From the Chamber
This is a big first step on what will be an amazing journey in your professional growth and development. While your employer will provide an orientation to their company and its culture, the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce would like to provide an orientation to the community that you are working in.
Orrville, Ohio is "Where Progress and Tradition Meet." A small town. Definitely! You will not find a Starbucks, Panera Bread or most of the national chain stores you are likely accustomed to. Don't panic! There are local alternatives for everything that you need. You may find that you like them better, or at least you will know that alternatives exist.
The goal is for you to feel welcome here and to be supported in your personal and professional development. Keep an open mind, try something new, make some friends and exapnd your professional network. To facilitate this the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce will provide a Blog post each week for 12 weeks. Find the BLOG here. To recieve a weekly TEXT notification and link to the Blog post, simply TEXT notify orrchamber intern to 313131.
Orrville Area Bucket List Challenge.
Each week a new Orrville Area Bucket List Challenge will be announced. A total of 12 Challenges. Complete the challenge at any time before Aug 10 and earn 10 points for each. Complete the challenge within one week of announcement to be entered to win a weekly prize.
Bonus Points will also be available each week.

Orrville Area Bucket List Challenge participation will be tracked through the Orrville Interns 2018 Facebook Group (a link to this group will be posted soon). Just post a picture of you completing the challenge with the hashtag for the week. The FB Group will also help to build community among all the interns - there are more of you working in Orrville than you may realize!
