The Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the organization’s 105th Anniversary with a non-traditional barbecue carry out event staged in their parking lot, 132 S Main, Orrville on Friday, July 24th
“We wanted to mark the anniversary in a unique way that brought members together safely,” stated Lori Reinbolt, Chamber President & CEO.
First year Chamber member business, After Hours Barbecue, was the featured vendor providing a variety of grilled meats and traditional sides prepared using their award winning family recipes.
Members of the Chamber and the community were invited to pre-order or walk up for a delicious meal, visit with Chamber staff from a safe distance and even answer some Chamber Trivia.
After Hours BBQ co-owners, Alan Schroer and Josh Crall, welcomed the opportunity to partner with the Chamber. As a business that relies on catering and special events, After Hours BBQ has been greatly impacted by the pandemic and mandated cancellation of large public events.
In the spirit of the Rally Around Restaurants and Retail Campaign, the Chamber was glad to provide an opportunity for After Hours BBQ to generate sales and provide payment to their employees. In appreciation, the business graciously donated a portion of the proceeds from the event to the Chamber.
Now is time to remember that locally owned restaurants and retail shops rely on the community to support them. Where you shop today determines whether that local business will remain open tomorrow. Let’s keep our dollars circulating in our local economy.
The Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce was founded July 20, 1915 and has been helping businesses thrive in Orrville and the vicinity of eastern Wayne County, Ohio for one hundred five years. Learn more about how the OACC can be a resource for your business by visiting www.orrvillechamber.com
