ORRVILLE AREA YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GROUP TO HOLD KICKOFF EVENT AT WAYNE COLLEGE

TOP 15 BUSINESS PROFESSOR IN THE WORLD RECIPIENT TO LEAD WORKSHOP AT ORRVILLE AREA YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GROUP KICKOFF EVENT

The Orrville Area Young Professionals (OAYP) Group is holding a kickoff event on Aug. 13, 2021 at the University of Akron Wayne College.

The newly assembled group is an affiliate of the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce (OACC) with a mission to inspire, connect and grow young leaders in the greater Orrville area community.

Dr. Clint Longenecker, Distinguished University Professor Emeritus from The College of Business and Innovation at The University of Toledo, will be leading a Career Success and Survival in 2021 workshop. A copy of his best-selling book, “The Successful Career Survival Guide”, will be available for purchase.

Dr. Longenecker has been selected as one of the Top 30 Transformational Leaders in America by the John Maxwell Organization and is a recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. He has been recognized as one of the Top 15 Business Professors in the World by The Economist.

A Q&A Roundtable is also on the agenda with local executives: Mike Jarrett, Founder, President and CEO of Jarrett; Jennifer Kessel, CEO of Aultman Orrville Hospital; and Douglas Steiner, Site General Manager at Moog Flo-Tork.

The free event, sponsored by Jarrett, is being held at the University of Akron Wayne College from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13. The inaugural event is open to all ages.

We’re very excited to be able to bring a world-renowned speaker to the Orrville area and look forward to continuing the momentum with this group after the launch event.”
