Dream Big. 2022 is Going to Be Different. The Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce (OACC) began 2022 with a renewed focus on providing catalytic leadership for the challenges facing the local business community.

The OACC Board of Directors met on January 20 under the leadership of Board Chair, Kristin Endsley. Endsley is employed by the City of Orrville as the Planning and Community Development Manager and has served as a member of the OACC Board since 2020.

“It is a privilege to serve as this year’s board chair.” stated Endsley. “In these uncertain times, we’ve all been challenged, and the Orrville Area Chamber will continue to serve as an essential resource for our members as we navigate the steps forward together.”

Joining Endsley on the Executive Committee as First Vice Chair is Lexi Nussbaum, General Manager Fitness Facilities for Jarrett Companies. Heather Ogi, Branch Manager, Spherion Mid-Ohio will serve as Second Vice Chair. Dave Hershey, Business Development Director, Weaver Commercial Contractor will continue to provide leadership in the role of past chair.

It is important to understand that oversight for OACC operations is provided entirely by a local Board of Directors comprised of sixteen representatives of Chamber member businesses. Board members are business owners, employees and residents of the local area. They are accountable to more than 350 businesses and organizations that hold membership in the Chamber. It is their leadership which has positioned OACC as an essential resource for the local business community.

Four new Directors have been appointed to the OACC Board. Beginning three-year terms of service are Beth Gaubatz, Career Connections Consultant, Tri-County Educational Services Center; Pete Kandis, VP Operations, Aultman Orrville Hospital; Tony Rohrer, Partner and Business Risk Advisor; and Dana Schauer, Director of Supply Chain, The Will-Burt Company. In addition, Jennifer Elsass, CFO, The Quality Castings Company joined the Board in October to fill an open seat.

OACC is a 501c6 not-for-profit corporation registered to operate in the State of Ohio. The OACC receives no funding from the local, state or federal government. Revenue is generated annually through local membership investments and the services provided by the Chamber to help members achieve their goals.

The OACC will hold their 106th Annual Meeting and State of the Chamber luncheon, February 11. The event, sponsored by The Commercial and Savings Bank, will be held at The University of Akron Wayne College. The event will also be livestreamed for guests that are more comfortable with a virtual experience.
