Leadership Orrville Kicks Off

Landre McCloud • Aug 31, 2023

Wednesday, August 30 Leadership Orrville kicked off with a meet and greet reception at Dutch Kitchen’s Event Center in Dalton. Leadership Orrville is sponsored by Farmers National Bank.

The mission of Leadership Orrville is to enrich the community through a one-of-a-kind, values-based leadership development program.

Participants will come away with the self-awareness and tools necessary to lead as an extension of their character rather than from their position of authority. In addition to exploring contemporary and relevant leadership content, classes will emphasize building a professional life of purpose, meaning, and connection.

Class size was limited to 18 participants to foster an environment of engagement and personal exploration. Each meeting is a daylong retreat held monthly from September to May. Participants will have the opportunity to turn intention into action by developing a project to serve the community.

Participants are Amber Kandel (JAG Healthcare), Bekah Hilty (Pregnancy Care Center), Brendan Maynard (Bekaert), Dawn Cazzolli (Orrville Area United Way), Dylan Kaufman (Westfield Bank), Edwin Martinez-Ordonez (Southwood Pallett), Hallie Brown (Schaeffler), Joshua Black (SmithFoods), Klay Kahle (Commercial & Savings Bank), Matthew Jones (Orrville Utilities), Michael Oliver (The Will-Burt Company), Nikki Nemerovsky (Habitat for Humanity), Owen Stauffer (Justin Haislip State Farm), Scott Ezzo (Mennonite Mutual), Shane Scarbrough (Farmers National Bank), Sonya Wagner (Wayne College), Syndell Gant (Park National Bank), and Tyler Gentry (Hummel Group).

Leadership Orrville seeks to enrich our area by equipping and challenging participants to be servant leaders who impact others in meaningful ways.

As an initiative of the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce (OACC), this program furthers OACC’s mission to connect people with resources to support business growth and the broader community.
