Four Board Members Ended Their Terms on December 16, 2021.

Focused on strategic initiatives to connect Chamber members with resources that support workforce and community, four retiring members of the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce (OACC) Board of Directors contributed a legacy of leadership during their terms of service to the organization.

Directors retiring from the Chamber Board at the end of 2021 include Jeff Dimos, VP Finance and Operations at Ventrac, Brett Lanz, Assistant Superintendent Orrville City Schools, Glenn Mott, VP of Compliance at Gerber Poultry Inc., and Tyson Wiles, Director of IT technology at The Will-Burt Company.

“The Board is a diverse and talented group that I was proud to be a part of these past 3 years and enabled me to plug into the area business leaders as well as the community” stated Dimos who co-chaired the Chamber Finance Committee.

“I enjoyed my time with the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce immensely,” remarked Lanz. “Serving on the Board, was a tremendous opportunity for fostering community connections professionally and personally.”

Lanz co-chaired the College and Career Readiness committee, a joint initiative between the Chamber and Heartland Education Community.

My experiences with the Chamber, Heartland Education Community and schools further emphasized what I quickly observed – the citizens, parents, business, and community leaders know what it means to work together toward worthwhile goals – for the workplace, for business owners/employers, for employees,” Lanz reflected.

“The Chamber Board provides an opportunity for Directors to be actively engaged in the work of the organization and bring awareness to emerging trends which impact our local business community,” commented Lori Reinbolt, Chamber president and CEO.

“I learned a great deal and was glad to represent Gerber Poultry on the board as the OAACC worked (and continues to work) to strengthen its role as the essential resource for an amazingly diverse group of area businesses,” commented Mott.

Mott introduced the Emerging Trends roundtable, a discussion and support group for employers with a significant number of Hispanic employees and employees whose primary language was not English.  This initiative helped employers connect and share resources with each other.

Major accomplishments of the OACC Board in the last six years included: renovation of the Chamber office building; conceptualization of Vision 2025 strategic plan; operational policy and procedure development; organizational marketing re-brand; and the transition to a value-based membership investment tier structure.
