NEW FISCAL YEAR KICKS OFF FOR SAFETY COUNCIL

The Orrville Area Safety Council kicked off the 2020 fiscal year July 10 with an overview of Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation Programs and Services.

“Ohio BWC has a lot of cost saving and grant funding programs available that are not well known.” stated Eric White from Ohio BWC, “any company who is not self-insured should be taking advantages of these opportunities to save and create a safer workplace.” 

The Orrville Area Safety Council is a partnership between Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce. Meetings take place on the second Wednesday of the month, attendance and submissions of two semi-annual reports may save your company a 2%-4% rebate on worker’s compensation premiums if enrolled by July 31st. 

Topics including Multigenerational Workforce Safety, Crisis Communications, and stretching to prevent injury are a few that will be presented throughout the year.
