ORRVILLE UTILITIES SNAGS FIRST PLACE AT CHAMBER OUTING

Corporate sponsor for the Outing was Serpentini Chevrolet of Orrville. 

Participants were treated to lunch sponsored by The Commercial and Savings Bank prior to the Shot Gun start at noon.  

The Orrville Utilities team of Mike Hedberg, Jim Leggett, Paul Skidmore and Rick Troyer shot a score of 54 for first place. Scrambling for second and third respectively was Hummel Group with a score of 56 and The Commercial & Savings Bank with a score of 58.

Cash Prizes for all the participants were generously donated by AloNovus and McElroy Packaging.

Fourteen teams competed in the Skins Game. Taking home, the win was The Commercial & Savings Bank team with an Eagle on 15 and 17.

Six proximity prizes were sponsored by Riceland Golf Course. Winners included John Bearer and Jennifer Myers, closest to the pin on hole 7. Logan Hershey and Amy Musser with the longest putt on hole 9, and Beverly Bixby and Lonnie Wengerd with the longest drive on hole 18. 

Two special game holes added fun on both the front and back of the course. Shane Lind, PFI Displays, was the lucky winner of the ACE Hardware Craftsmen Leaf blower on Hole # 4 after making his putt with a pool stick. Steve Lorson, Huntington Bank, won a full years’ worth of lawn product, and a spreader donated by Scotts Miracle-Gro, on Hole #10. A variety of door prizes were also donated by local businesses.

Golfers enjoyed beverages throughout the day compliments of HATCH and MT Business Technologies. A steak dinner, prepared by Riceland Golf Course, sponsored by Redwood Apartment Homes concluded the event.

Volunteers from the following businesses generously gave their time to assist Chamber staff with the event: Hummel Group, ServerSIM, Serpentini Orrville, MT Business Technologies, McElroy Packaging, The Commercial and Savings Bank, Pickett & Pickett Tax & Investments, The Ohio State University Wooster Campus and Wayne Economic Development Council.
