Goodwill Good Turn Day

Apr 03, 2023

Make a donation, earn a patch, and help people in our communities through the Power of Work

On Saturday, April 22, Girl Scouts across Ohio will be visiting Goodwill stores this spring to earn a special patch for Good Turn Day 2023.

For many years, Goodwill of Wayne & Holmes Counties has held Good Turn Day twice a year, awarding Girl Scouts for doing a “good turn,” by donating to the stores.

Members of the area scout troops are asked to contribute three grocery size bags of gently used donated goods to the five retail locations throughout Wayne and Holmes Counties and in return will receive a Good Turn Day 2023 patch.

The idea of Good Turn Day is to provide Girl Scouts an opportunity to “do good” for the community by collecting used clothing, housewares, toys/games, and other items to be donated to Goodwill Industries.

The scouts’ efforts will help Goodwill's mission as a nonprofit organization, by helping the people in the community to overcome challenges, build skills, find jobs and grow careers.

Donations to Goodwill Industries of Wayne and Holmes Counties for Good Turn Day can be brought to the following Goodwill Locations – Wooster: 143 W. Milltown Road – Orrville: 1201 N. Main St. – Rittman: 260 N. Main St. – Millersburg: 1098 Glenn Dr. – Loudonville: 16630 State Route 3.

By donating to and shopping at your local Goodwill retail location, you are helping your community members to obtain education, training, and experience that will enable them to earn both a living wage and self-respect.

Keep your donations LOCAL and donate to Goodwill.
