Jarrett Logistics CEO Mike Jarrett named winner of 2023 Smart 50 Award

Nov 07, 2023

Jarrett Companies founder and President Mike Jarrett is a winner of the annual Corporate College Smart 50 Awards presented by the Cuyahoga Community Corporate College in partnership with Smart Business Magazine.

The award showcases leaders of the smartest companies across Cleveland and Columbus and Pittsburgh.

Now in its ninth year, the Smart 50 Awards aims to recognize Northeast Ohio executives who have built and now lead successful organizations with an emphasis on local community engagement. The leaders have contributed to Ohio’s status as the 12th-best state for business in 2023, according to CNBC’s America’s Top States for Business study.

“I am both honored and humbled to accept this award on behalf of the entire Jarrett Team,” Jarrett said. “It is a testament to our dedication, hard work, relentless pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement. This award serves as a powerful validation of our commitment to smart, sustainable growth and the positive impact we are making in our surrounding communities. We will continue to leverage our growth for the betterment of our communities, our customers and our employees.”

Jarrett was founded on the belief hiring the right people makes for good business. Employees are hired based on integrity, character, honesty, respect and work ethic above all else, according to Jarrett. Jarrett's vision is to be the best logistics company in the industry − providing excellent customer service, state-of-the-art technology and premier services to clients with ongoing or as-needed requests.

The 50 award winners are invited to a celebration event where three organizations are recognized for achieving specialty categories in the areas of innovation, impact and sustainability.

“The Smart 50 Awards recognize the top executives of the most innovated businesses in the region,” said John Lotenero, Vice President of Events at Smart Business. “When you consider Mike Jarrett’s proven track record of building upon the success of Jarrett Logistics, it is no surprise he was selected by the Judging Panel to join the honoree class of 2023.”
