Orrville Area Safety Council Kicks Off Lunch and Learn Series

Local employers’ benefit from the education, resource sharing, and premium savings which result from actively participating in the Orrville Area Safety Council (OASC) monthly lunch meetings.

All employers are invited to participate in OASC. Attend 10 lunch meetings to learn and have an opportunity to earn a 2% rebate on workers compensation premium. 

A new lunch and learn series will kick off July 13 at The University of Akron Wayne College, Student Life Building. OASC meets the second Wednesday of each month. Lunch at 11:30am. Meeting and educational program, noon – 1pm.

“OASC has been required by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to meet virtually since March, 2020,” stated Lori Reinbolt, Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce President. “The in-person format is much more effective and provides an opportunity for networking among the professionals responsible for workplace health and safety in our community.”

Safety Council participants will learn techniques for increasing safety, health and wellness in the workplace, network and share best practices with other employers and identify resources to assist you in your accident prevention efforts.

A few special features for the new series include the safety culture keynote, Safe 4 The Right Reasons, presented by DiVal Safety on August 10 and a Safety, Health and Wellness Fair on October 12.
