Accepting Applications for Leadership Orrville

The mission of Leadership Orrville is to enrich the community through a one-of-a-kind, values-based leadership development program. More than simply a networking initiative, Leadership Orrville seeks to enrich our area by equipping and challenging participants to be servant leaders who impact others in meaningful ways.

We are currently seeking applications for those who may be interested in participating in this year’s program starting in the Fall.

As a quick overview, we’ll be incorporating three elements in every class: Me, We and All. Me = self-leadership, We = the student’s interactions with at least one other person/team/group, and All = interactions with the Orrville area and focusing on community. 

We’ll be utilizing materials from GiANT Worldwide and their “Five Voices” program. 

We will also be going through the book “Learning Leadership” by James Kouzes and Barry Posner which discusses the “Five Fundamentals of Becoming an Exemplary Leader”. 

Afternoons will consist of tours of facilities, team building exercises, interview/Q&A with area leaders to learn from their experiences, etc. 

There will also be a team project for students to complete.

The program will run from September through May on the third Wednesday of the month. Each session will start at 7:30 AM and will take the entire business day. Cost is $1,250 for Chamber members which covers materials, food and other expenses. Cost of non-members is $1,500.
