Dream Big, 2022 is Going to be Different was the message delivered to 145 in person and virtual guests at the State of the Chamber: 106th Annual Meeting of the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce. The Commercial and Savings Bank was the Red Circle sponsor for the event held at The University of Akron Wayne College on February 11.

“We are not going to look back over our shoulder to what was.  Nor will we spend our time waiting to see what will happen next to determine how to react.” announced Lori Reinbolt, Chamber President and CEO, in her opening comments.

Dream Big. 2022 is Going to be Different. This theme resonated throughout the event as the Chamber shared their plans for boldly stepping into the future.

Reinbolt reflected on the innovative accomplishments of 2021. She noted that the State of the Chamber was offered virtually, the Celebration of Community Awards Program shifted to a casual summer format, and the Chamber’s Golf Par-Tee was rained out for the first time in recent history but presented an opportunity to deliver a Golf ‘rain check’ box.

Kristin Endsley, Chamber Board President, thanked the 16 board members and staff for their contributions throughout the year. Endsley highlighted that the majority of 2021 the Chamber staff consisted of Reinbolt and Michelle Hedberg, membership coordinator. She celebrated the success of what the two were able to accomplish while being short staffed and achieving a 99% membership renewal rate.

Five key priorities were presented as the Chamber’s focus for 2022. 1.) increased member engagement with chamber resources, 2.) developing an aspiring community of young leaders, 3.) intentional pathways for a new era of work, 4.) workplace health and wellness and 5.) training and development opportunities for business owners.

Sponsors recognized for their support included Black Circle sponsors The J.M. Smucker Company and Will-Burt. Inner circle sponsors Hummel Group, Aultman Orrville Hospital, McElroy Packaging and Moog. In-kind sponsors included The University of Akron Wayne College and Village Catering.

The event was live streamed by Crossbridge Marketing & Media.  The program will also be featured on the Armstrong Neighborhood Channel.
